Jagapati Babu is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema in addition to a few Tamil and Malayalam films. In a career spanning 25 years, Jagapati Babu has starred in over 120 feature films, and has received 3 Filmfare Awards and 7 state Nandi Awards.
Later He acted in a films Like Pelli Pandhiri, Priyaraagalu, Oka Chinna Maata, Subhakankshalu, Maavidakulu. He Won andi Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film Antahpuram in 1999. In 2000, he won the Nandi Best Actor Award for the second time for his performance in Manoharam. Later he appeared in Kabbadi Kabbadi,Athade Oka Sainyam, Pedababu and Anukokunda Oka Roju, Samanyadu, Pellaina Kottalo. jagapathi babu received the Nandi Best Supporting Actor Award for the second time and Filmfare Award in the year 2007 for his role in the movie Lakshyam. He played the lead role in Jai Bolo Telangana, which won five Nandi Awards. Some of his Movies are Chattam, Nagaram Nidrapothunna Vela,Key, Kshethram . In 2014, He acted as villain in Legend and he won filmfae award for best Supporting actor.He appeared in Current Tega, Ra Ra Krishnayya, Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jivitham. Jagapati Babu acted as Father to Mahesh Babu in Srimanthudu(2015) Later he acted as villain in NTR’s Nannaku Prematho(2015).
